Camp Hill is Upscale Main Street USA - 7/6/2008
Camp Hill is consistently voted "best neighborhood" in Harrisburg Magazine for good reasons. It is an historic neighborhood with stately homes, mature trees and walking distance to schools (so small it has no bussing and schools have open campus for lunch) cafes, galleries, coffeeshops, parks, SUPER restaurants, boutiques, spas and specialty shops. The local community has a wonderful tradition of parades and events. Our street has a block party and soup supper every year. People are so friendly and kind! Excellent school system that just received millions of dollars in private grant money to build an enhanced arts center. College attendance rates are in the 90%s. Camp Hill has a New England feel, but still small town and VERY affordable. I love living here. Minutes from the state capital of Harrisburg and minutes away from the Appalachian Trail and some of the best trout streams in the US. An hour from Baltimore, not quite 2 hours to Philly, 3 to Pittsburgh and NYC. Safe, Read More
